OUTSIDE
The Churchyard contains many interesting and ancient gravestones but the oldest have long since lost their inscriptions. In 1864 a stone wall was built around the Churchyard with a lych-gate at the entrance. Close to the entrance is a centuries old yew tree with considerable girth and a hollow middle. Legend has it that a ghost will appear to anyone who walks a hundred times round the tree at midnight!
