What’s a Jesse tree? What’s a tree of life? Well if you pop into the church during December you can find out!
Just to encourage you to do so may I explain a little. A Jesse tree is decorated with symbols to represent events that are in the history of salvation and go from creation, onto King David, to the annunciation, birth life and death of Jesus and onwards.
A tree of life is where you can put the names of loved ones who have died but whom you still remember and hold dear in your heart and mind.
We have combined the two and invite anyone who wishes to pop into church, write a name of a loved one to be remembered and hang it on the Jesse tree. If you would like to leave a small donation any monies received will go to St Catherine Hospice in memory of those named.
Full details are by the tree, so if you wish to, do go and look and use.
God bless
